Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Her birthplace was in Stavanger in June 1996. She's professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name may also be stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the record label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from music bloggers and the media. She has previously made two covers that have been viewed by the world's media: Half the World Away by the band Oasis for a Christmas advertisement from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. She gained some further recognition through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the track Runaway. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano within her loft and being captivated by its music. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a career or hobby but for growth. She began to write writing her own songs. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as inspirations, and also a love for Bjork's style. When she was told by her mother that her songs would be a catalyst for her to gain not only fame but also help people see the importance of their music on the planet and realise how they can benefit from the songs, she decided to begin performing publicly. She started playing piano when she was just 6 years old and began writing music by the time she was nine. Her family didn't hear about it until she reached fourteen. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. Her words say that she likes to write songs. Music to her is an ideal method of feeling anything.
